Connect HubSpot to Tracebird
Last updated: 2026-10-16
The Tracebird HubSpot integration turns your HubSpot CRM activity into conversions in Tracebird, attributed to the Facebook campaigns, ad sets and ads that drove them, so your reports and automation rules can use real lead, meeting and revenue data.
- New contacts become leads.
- Meetings become appointments; a completed meeting also counts as a show.
- Closed-won deals become sales, using the deal amount and currency.
Requirements
- A Tracebird account (sign in at tracebird.io) with permission to edit integrations.
- A HubSpot account where you can install apps.
- Permissions requested from HubSpot: oauth, crm.objects.contacts.read and crm.objects.deals.read. All access is read-only: Tracebird never creates, edits or deletes anything in HubSpot.
Install
- Sign in to tracebird.io.
- Open Settings → Integrations and find HubSpot under CRM & conversions.
- Click Connect HubSpot, choose your HubSpot account and approve the requested permissions.
- You return to Tracebird and the card shows Connected with your HubSpot portal.
After connecting you can:
- Import history: choose to import the last 30 days, 90 days or 12 months of contacts, meetings and closed-won deals, or skip it and track only new activity.
- Choose the attribution model used to credit conversions; this setting is shared with your other CRM integrations.
A deal counts as a sale when HubSpot marks it closed-won, so custom pipelines and renamed deal stages work without any extra configuration.
How attribution works
Tracebird reads the contact's HubSpot tracking properties (first and last page URL, plus UTM and ad ID properties) and extracts the Facebook ad, ad set and campaign IDs. For this to work:
- Add URL parameters to your Facebook ads (Ad → Tracking → URL parameters). The card in Tracebird shows the exact string to copy.
- Install the HubSpot tracking code on your landing pages so HubSpot saves those parameters on the contact.
Sales are credited through the contact they came from. A contact's email and phone can also be matched to form fills captured by the Tracebird pixel.
What is synced and when
- Real time: HubSpot webhooks notify Tracebird when contacts or deals are created or deleted, and when a deal's stage or amount changes. Tracebird then reads the record's details from HubSpot.
- History import: optional, started from the card after connecting.
- Nightly check: the last 48 hours are re-scanned, including meetings, to catch anything a webhook missed.
- Deleted contacts, deals or meetings, canceled or no-show meetings, and deals that are no longer closed-won are removed from your conversions.
Tracebird stores the CRM fields needed for these conversions (such as contact and deal IDs, email and phone for matching, attribution parameters and deal amounts). OAuth tokens are stored encrypted.
Disconnect or uninstall
- In Tracebird: Settings → Integrations → HubSpot → Disconnect. Tracebird immediately deletes its stored HubSpot access and refresh tokens and stops receiving new activity. Conversions already recorded stay in your reports.
- In HubSpot: Settings → Integrations → Connected apps → Tracebird → Uninstall. If access is revoked this way, the Tracebird card shows Needs reconnect; you can reconnect at any time or disconnect it.
